Carroll College seeks a dynamic, strategic, and relationship-focused Director of Alumni & Community Engagement to join the Office of Institutional Advancement. This leadership position plays a vital role in advancing the College's mission by fostering meaningful connections with alumni, friends, and community partners while strengthening philanthropic support and lifelong engagement.
As a key member of the Advancement Leadership Team, the Director provides strategic vision, leadership, and oversight for alumni engagement initiatives and annual giving programs. The successful candidate will develop and execute comprehensive strategies that deepen alumni involvement, enhance constituent experiences, and inspire philanthropic investment in Carroll College.
Leading a dedicated team of alumni and community engagement professionals, the Director will design and implement innovative programs, events, communications, and volunteer opportunities that cultivate enduring relationships between alumni, the College, and the broader community. This role collaborates closely with faculty, staff, students, Gift Officers, and Advancement Services to create a cohesive engagement experience that supports institutional priorities and promotes a culture of connection and philanthropy.
The Director is responsible for developing a comprehensive, multi-channel engagement and communication strategy that informs, inspires, and mobilizes alumni and friends of Carroll College. Through strategic outreach, impactful programming, volunteer leadership development, and community partnerships, the Director strengthens alumni affinity, expands engagement opportunities, and builds a vibrant network of advocates who support the continued success of the College.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field plus 3 years of progressively responsible and related experience. Proven experience in a college environment, along with advancement, alumni relations, community engagement, affinity and reunion planning, management of volunteer boards and sponsored events, and other community programming preferred.
