Description
Are you an experienced Emergency Veterinarian looking for the excitement of ER medicine without sacrificing your nights, weekends, or work-life balance?
Join Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Chattanooga as a Daytime ICU Emergency Veterinarian and enjoy a unique opportunity to practice advanced emergency and critical care medicine alongside specialists, experienced ER clinicians, and a dedicated support team, all with a schedule designed to give you more time outside the hospital.
- Daytime ICU-focused ER role with no overnight shifts or mandatory on-call
- Enjoy flexible scheduling!
- The full-time schedule generally consists of twelve 12-hour shifts per 4-week block and are typically Monday - Thursday shifts.
- Part-time or Full-time candidates will be considered.
- $160k base salary plus production with no negative accrual
- Collaborate with board-certified specialists in surgery and oncology
- Practice advanced emergency medicine with CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, and ICU monitoring

- Access to specialized veterinary training courses, including Global FAST Scan Ultrasound, 3-Day Spay & Neuter Training, Dental Training, hands-on ER wet labs and education on the latest emergency medicine techniques and procedures.

Our ideal candidate:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree / VMD or equivalent
- Active veterinary license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain - we cover state licensure transfer fees)
- Experience as an ICU Veterinary Hospitalist or Emergency Veterinarian preferred
- Passionate about practicing outstanding emergency veterinary medicine but also building and fostering a strong team
- Strong communicator who models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients

- Specialized equipment including Snyder oxygen cages, canine/feline transfusions, LigaSure, PoliPhase sealant, and GIA stapler
