All Classical Radio is an independent, community-funded radio station and multimedia platform with international reach, providing access to classical music, outstanding performances, and engaging storytelling since 1983.
VISION: All Classical Radio believes that this music and this service should be accessible and inviting to all people, and all communities. We commit daily to that goal.
MISSION: All Classical Radio’s mission is to advance knowledge of and appreciation for classical music; to build and sustain culturally vibrant local and global communities around this art form; to reflect the spirit of the Pacific Northwest; and to foster integrity, quality, and innovation in all that we do.
VALUES: Classical music is for everyone. All Classical Radio welcomes all who seek inspiration, companionship, and comfort through music. These values are at the heart of what we do: accessibility, connection, creativity, diverse perspectives, inclusion, integrity, joy, and kindness.
All Classical Radio provides an innovative classical soundtrack of the Pacific Northwest for listeners from the Oregon Coast to Antarctica. We serve 250,000+ local listeners in Oregon and SW Washington, and millions more who tune in online from 100+ countries around the globe. Built on a broad base of community support, the majority of our funding comes from individual listeners, regional community-minded businesses, and foundations. Our FM signals broadcast our in-house programs from the heart of the Columbia Gorge to the beautiful Oregon Coast, and from Willamette Valley’s wine country up to Vancouver, Washington.
In 2019, All Classical Radio launched a second channel: the International Children’s Arts Network (ICAN). ICAN is an HD radio station for children, families, caregivers, and educators. The station’s diverse content is available through online streaming, via mobile app, and on demand. Like All Classical Radio, ICAN removes barriers to music, education, and the arts, focusing on thoughtful programming that inspires children to play, express emotions, and dream.
In 2024, All Classical Radio moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art Media Arts Center at KOIN Tower in the heart of Portland, OR. Learn more about the space here.
