Navigating financial aid can be overwhelming for students. As our Financial Aid Specialist, you’ll be the guide that makes this process clear, accessible, and stress-free. You’ll work directly with students and families at one of the most critical moments of their education journey—helping them unlock the resources they need to succeed.
Your work will directly impact lives, removing barriers and ensuring students can focus on what they came here to do: grow their skills, confidence, and careers.
Key Responsibilities
-Partner with our third-party servicer and the Department of Education to oversee all aspects of the financial aid process.
-Guide students step-by-step, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all documentation.
-Track deadlines, follow up on missing documents, and communicate clearly with students about next steps.
-Proactively enforce deadlines and compliance policies; when necessary, manage leave-of-absence protocols using our student software system.
-Maintain accurate and organized financial aid records.
-Provide compassionate, clear support to students and families navigating financial aid questions and responsibilities.
-Collaborate closely with staff to ensure a seamless and supportive student experience.
What We’re Looking For
-Detail-oriented & organized: You thrive on keeping things accurate and on track.
-Tech-savvy: Proficient in Google Suite and Excel and easily coachable with student information systems.
-Confident communicator: Able to explain financial policies and deadlines in a way that’s supportive yet firm.
-Independent & collaborative: Comfortable owning your responsibilities while working closely with students, staff, and third-party partners.
-Policy-driven with heart: Able to enforce rules while showing empathy and understanding toward students.
Compensation & Benefits
-Starting Pay: $23-$25/hour depending on experience
