The Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a tenured position at the Associate or Full Professor level for a leading scholar in substance use research. We are seeking candidates who can co-lead our established NIDA T32 pre/postdoctoral training program, Transdisciplinary Training in Addictions Research (TranSTAR). This program is jointly located within the Brown School and the Addiction, Science, Prevention, and Treatment Division in the Department of Psychiatry at WashU School of Medicine.

We are specifically looking for an internationally recognized investigator whose research focuses on substance use etiology, prevention, treatment, services, or policy. The ideal candidate will possess:
- An exceptional and sustained track record of extramural funding from NIH/NIDA (for example, R01s, multi-PI awards, center/program grants, and training grants).
- A strong publication record with high impact and demonstrated national/international scholarly leadership.
- Proven success in mentoring trainees and junior faculty, preferably within NIH-funded training programs.
- The ability to direct and expand the Brown School’s NIDA T32 fellowship, including responsibilities for curriculum innovation, mentor development, recruitment, and ensuring trainee success.
