Description
High Plains Radiological Association (“HPRA”) is a regional radiology group based in Amarillo, TX. HPRA is a 100% physician-owned private practice providing service to multiple hospitals and imaging centers throughout Texas and New Mexico. HPRA’s primary onsite contract is Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital in Amarillo. HPRA also provides teleradiology services to multiple hospitals and imaging centers. HPRA is seeking an additional IR due to volume growth and increased lifestyle for our IRs.
IR Details
- HPRA IRs work specifically at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo
- Expected IR call schedule Q4 – IRs do not share diagnostic call
- BSA is a certified stroke center
- BSA has a bi-plane angio suite
- Stroke coverage is a plus, but not required
- HPRA has 5 PAs assisting in IR procedures and fluoroscopy
- Common procedures include
- PE and DVT thrombectomy
- Interventional oncology – Y-90, TACE, and percutaneous ablation.
- Stroke thrombectomy - additional stipend provided.
- Vertebral augmentation – kyphoplasty and Spine Jack.
- Hepatobiliary - including TIPS
- Dialysis AV fistula and graft intervention
- GI/GU
- CT and US-guided intervention - biopsy, drainage, etc.

Compensation and Benefits
- First year starting salary of $540K ($470K base plus $70 subspecialist stipend for experienced candidates and $50K for new fellows out of training)
- $15Ksigning bonus plus relocation stipend
- HPRA IRs average $800K plus as partners
