Description

This is a full-time, year-round position. Maintaining all areas of the golf course, clubhouse and other club grounds in the best conditions possible. The Head Superintendent will work closely with the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, Board of Directors and grounds staff on all aspects of construction, maintenance, agronomy and turf management. Daily staff management and planning of day to day activities, tournament preparation, staff training and other management duties are required for this position.

Educational Requirements

Bachelors' degree and experience managing a golf course is required, college or university program certificate strongly preferred, 3-6 years' turf grass, golf course related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of years and experience.

Special Requirements

• Possess a NY State Commercial Pesticide License.
• Possess a NY State valid Drivers License
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. on regular basis
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Constantly required to work with chemicals and fertilizers
