Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Sr Compensation Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and administering compensation
programs that align with company objectives for recruitment, retention and employee engagement.
They use analytical and quantitative skills to assess, create, improve, and maintain A-dec’s
compensation philosophy and infrastructure. They work closely with A-dec leadership, HR Business
Partners and the Talent Acquisition team to position A-dec to best attract, retain, and reward talented
people.
- JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Builds relationships with A-dec leadership, HR Business Partners and the Talent Acquisition team
to provide day-to-day expert consultation on compensation issues and practices. - Participates in compensation surveys, analyzing results and trends and evaluating the company’s
market competitiveness of all A-dec jobs annually. - Analyzes market trends, program competitiveness, and cost implications of A-dec’s Total Reward programs making recommendations on programmatic change based on the results.
- Administers the annual salary planning cycle, including providing system testing/support, developing timeline and planning materials, and developing and delivering training and communication materials.
- Manages the Short Term Incentive payouts for Sr. Leadership. Updates the individual plan documents and makes sure they are delivered and signed by all plan participants.
- Works with Accounting on the payout calculations and provides individual payout summaries to all participants.
- Prepares semi-annual benchmarking for the Executive Team and annual benchmarking of Sr Leadership for review by the Compensation Committee.
- Learns A-dec’s jobs and business requirements to conduct job leveling and reviews/edits job
descriptions. - Administers A-dec’s salary structure framework, variable pay programs, and salary increase and
promotion guidelines. - Delivers regular and ad-hoc reports, summaries, and trends, etc. to P&C and business leadership
as needed. - Supports the preparation of employee communications regarding compensation programs and
plans. - Partners with the business, Talent Acquisition, and People Operations to develop systems and
processes to streamline and automate workflows and business rules. - Keeps apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company
compliance. - Supports the P&C team on special projects and assignments as required.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent Excel modeling skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills; intellectually curious.
- Strong teamwork skills required, as well as ability to work in a fast paced, high growth, changing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of compensation management philosophies, practices, methodologies, and techniques with the ability to perform statistical analysis.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and handle confidential information.
- Aptitude for balancing multiple priorities with strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Autonomous, self-directed, detail- and results-oriented individual with a high commitment to quality.
- Team player with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to be a change-agent and influence progress.
Education and Experience
- Generally requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or other
related discipline along with a minimum of 6+ years’ experience in a compensation role or the
equivalent combination of education and experience. - Experience with base and variable compensation programs required, and sales and global
compensation is a plus. - Experience with HRIS functionality and ad-hoc reporting is required, experience with Workday is
preferred.
