As a SCADA Systems Specialist, your technical expertise will ensure the reliability, availability, data integrity, and security of SCADA applications to maintain the Gas Control Centre SCADA system. This role provides NextGen Real Time Model (RTM) knowledge to support IT and Operations initiatives, improving pipeline capacity, reducing carbon emissions, and optimizing operational cost efficiency.

What you will do:

• Build, implement, and manage SCADA systems, covering both hardware and software specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA infrastructure issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor system performance and proactively manage failures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party providers to resolve complex technical issues.
• Implement and maintain SCADA data, screens, databases, and scripts.
• Develop control strategies and graphic interfaces for the Gas Control Center.
• Support field technicians with point-to-point graphic screen checkout.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain system documentation.
• Provide technical support to Gas Control, Measurement, and Operations teams.
• Develop, maintain, and validate GreggEngineering NextGen models to accurately represent operational conditions.
• Conduct hydraulic assessments to support pipeline optimization, expansions and new construction.

• Maintain accuracy of the complex RTM to support a more streamline pigging operations.

Who are you:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 7 years of SCADA experience in the oil and gas pipeline industry.
• RTM (Real Time Model) experience and accuracy with knowledge into next generation and underlining applications.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID wiring diagrams and field instrumentation documentation.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Working Conditions:

• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support Gas Control operations.
• This role involves various background screening that includes but is not limited to a criminal record check, company sponsored medical and drug test.

Preferred:

• Sophisticated Excel expertise.
• Experience with scripting languages (.NET, Visual Basic).
• Hands-on experience with CygNet SCADA (Vision, Studio, Explorer).
• Knowledge of pipeline operations and procedures.
