REPORTS: City Manager
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Degree
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the City Manager performs clerical and customer service duties in support of the daily operations of City Hall.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for clerical and customer service work for the City Manager’s Office, Finance, City Clerk and Building Department at City Hall.
- Performs tasks such as greeting residents, business owners and other visitors to City Hall; answering phones and email.
- Rotates through various City Departments to serve residents and other visitors where needed; fills in for absent personnel as needed.
- Responds to inquiries, concerns and information requests by directing residents and other visitors to appropriate personnel.
- Works with other departments and/or independently on special projects.
- Works with other staff members on special projects.
- Performs related work as required.

Requirements include the following:
A High School Degree
One – two years’ experience dealing directly with the public.
Skill in the use of office equipment and technology, including computers and related software, including Microsoft Office products.
Ability to establish effective working relationships and use good judgement, initiative and resourcefulness when dealing with the public, business and community interests, elected officials, other employees and professional contacts.
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to pass a background investigation.
