Are you passionate about animals and thrive in a calm, focused environment? We're looking for compassionate and dependable Overnight Veterinary Assistants to join our dedicated team at West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center, a 24-hour full-service veterinary facility in Huntington, NY.

We offer a wide range of services including emergency and critical care, surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, rehabilitation, and more. As part of the West Hills family of practices, you'll work alongside highly skilled veterinarians, technicians, and specialists who are committed to excellence in veterinary medicine.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Provide overnight care for boarding and hospitalized animals
• Assist with patient handling and restraint
• Support our veterinarians and technicians with exams and treatments
• Administer medications and help fill prescriptions
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment (including laundry and general upkeep)
• Take on special projects with a can-do attitude and a team-first mindset

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• Previous veterinary or animal care experience (1 year preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and a love for animals
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-based environment
• Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to Huntington, NY 11743
• A positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
