Exciting Opportunity: Nursing Professional Development Practitioner at Riley Children's Health!
Riley Children's Health, Indiana's most prominent and skilled pediatric healthcare system, is thrilled to announce an outstanding opportunity for a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to join our dedicated NICU team at our renowned Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. Position Overview:
In this full-time role, working Monday through Friday on day shifts, you will take on a multifaceted position as a Learning Facilitator, Change Agent, Mentor, Leader, Champion for Inquiry, and Advocate for the NPD Specialty. Your responsibilities will include:
- Promoting and advocating for innovative professional development programs and curricula that cater to the evolving needs of both clinical learners and the organization-starting from onboarding new hires and extending all the way through to expert clinicians.
- Modeling the application of evidence-based practices and demonstrating a commitment to the scholarship of teaching and learning.
- Providing strategic direction and support to meet the educational needs of staff as identified through thorough assessments, regulatory requirements, and quality outcomes data.
- Serving as a role model and expert for clinical educators, championing their ongoing growth and professional development.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree of Nursing (BSN) required.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department/specialty according to patient care policies.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Two years experience preferred.
- Previous NICU experience preferred,
- Must have the ability and willingness to travel as needed to meet the system educational needs.
- Must have the ability to display knowledge and utilization of principles of adult learning.
