Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the club managed by Troon.Key Responsibilities of the Merchandise Assistant:*Assists in managing the retail operation for the Golf Shop*Monthly inventory count*Greets guests upon arrival into the Golf Shop*Prepare all merchandise for the floor*Assists in creating/receiving Purchase Orders*Assists in maintaining the golf shop cleaning standards*Maintain a professional appearance*Available to work weekends and holidaysThis is a part-time opportunity!Minimum Qualifications for the Merchandise Assistant:*High School education or its equivalent*Six months to one year related experience and/or trainingPhysical Requirements and Other Qualifications:*Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs*Frequent bending, turning, kneeling and stooping*Computer skills with Point of Sales (POS) systems and Microsoft applications*Ability to multi-task: answer phones, greet members, answer questions, sell and place special orders

Experience Required

Six months to one year related experience and/or training
