Description
The section IT Re Insurance Property & Casualty (RI P&C) delivers business value through management of IT products including execution of change projects, and delivery of agile IT product management, application development and IT operational support. The product and project portfolio of IT RI P&C covers all underwriting & pricing solutions for all Reinsurance LoB (w/o L/H) globally as well as the solutions for Claims Management.To complement our team of recognized IT experts, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual. You will develop and grow our global application landscape together with the business in a highly changing IT landscape. You will deliver our claims management systems and the growing portfolio of supporting systems for underwriting business units.
As an IT Product Manager with strong Business Analysis capabilities, you are responsible for the full lifecycle of an IT Product - covering operations, compliance, cost control, and business alignment. You bridge the gap between IT and reinsurance claims business units, ensuring that business demands are clearly understood, documented, and translated into resilient and cost-efficient IT solutions
This position will be located in Munich.
Your Job
- Product Ownership & Lifecycle ManagementOwn the full product lifecycle, including planning and implementing upgrades (functional and technical), ensuring continuous alignment with business strategy and target architecture. Maintain accurate and up-to-date product documentation in all relevant repositories (e.g. LeanIX, SNOW CMDB).
- Operations & StabilityEnsure a secure and stable run of the application in production.
Set up and manage run, monitoring, support, and incident processes - including root cause analysis and continuous improvement measures.
Coordinate with IT towers for testing, patching, disaster recovery, and validation activities.
- Compliance & SecurityEnsure the product meets compliance requirements and security standards. Conduct and update compliance gates regularly.
- Documentation & GovernanceProvide and maintain operational and lifecycle documentation, including SLAs, business-critical timeframes, and support models.
- Business Process & Requirements AnalysisAnalyze and understand business demands across the reinsurance underwriting and claims value chain.
Translate business problems into structured IT requirements and ensure they are delivered and tested appropriately.
Identify and propose business process improvements in collaboration with business stakeholders and technical architecture.
Your Profile
- EducationUniversity degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional ExperienceSeveral years in IT Product Management and/or Business Analysis, preferably within the finance, insurance, or reinsurance sector.
- Domain ExpertiseIn-depth knowledge of reinsurance and claims processes, with a strong track record of managing diverse stakeholders across business and IT.
- Technical BackgroundSolid experience in application development and full product lifecycle management - from requirements engineering and design to testing and deployment.
- Business & IT Alignment:Proven ability to translate complex business needs into practical, value-driven IT solutions.
- Analytical Skills:Skilled in analyzing business requirements, defining system specifications, and engineering effective solutions.
- Communication & Collaboration:Excellent communicator across functions and cultures, with a collaborative and consulting approach.
- Personal Attributes:High level of accountability, adaptability, and commitment to delivering results in dynamic environments.
- Language Skills:Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
- Methodologies & Compliance:Experienced in agile frameworks, with a strong understanding of working within regulated IT environments.
