Office: Alumnae and Donor RelationsReports to: Director of Alumnae and Donor Engagement
Work Period: 12-month
Hours: Full-time

General Summary: Collaborates with Senior Director of Alumnae Relations and Director of Alumnae and Donor Engagement with designing, managing and implementing donor stewardship programs and activities for the Division of College Advancement within the guidelines of federal, state and local laws and office, division and college policies and procedures. Reports to the Director of Alumnae and Donor Engagement and interacts with co-workers, donors, alumnae, students, trustees, representatives from corporations, foundations, and other institutions, vendors, service providers and college personnel.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborates with Senior Director of Alumnae Relations and Director of Alumnae and Donor Engagement with designing, managing and implementing donor stewardship programs and activities for the Division of College Advancement, building close relationships with donors and continually developing the donor recognition program.
- Manages all aspects of the scholarship, research and program, and award tracking process for College Advancement. Coordinates with Financial Aid, Business and Finance, scholarship and award recipients to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of donor reports.
- Collects and enters market and book value data and student recipient data into Raiser's Edge, processes and mails the annual reports, with review from the director.
- Updates and arranges for scholarship, advantage award and award recipients to fill out the biography forms to thank donors of these funds and encourages student participation in donor events when the student's fund contact is attending.
- Prepares donor documentation and follow up materials for gift officers and coordinates the gift agreement process.
- Assists in answering questions from donors, budget managers, advancement colleagues and college administrators regarding the purpose and use of endowed and expendable funds.
- In collaboration with the director, manages the donor giving societies, the annual Fideles Society mailing, and keeps track of new 1889 Society members and adding names to the plaque as well as oversees arrangements for donor recognition plaques and signage.
- In collaboration with director, oversees and manages collection of information and design for impact pieces for donor reports and, as needed, for leadership donors.
- Assists director, as needed, with any donor events, dedications and related events that recognize and steward donors' philanthropy.
- Assists senior director and director during Alumnae Weekend and Reunion Boot Camp.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: BA/BS in related occupational field of study.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years, preferably in non-profit and fund-raising environment with skills in event planning and data management and reporting.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must possess or acquire appropriate knowledge of Agnes Scott College history, goals, and policies that pertain to the position's essential job functions and responsibilities.
- Understanding of fundraising/philanthropy fundamentals and the importance of a strategic approach to the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospects and donors to achieve sustainable gift outcomes.
- Proficiency in modern computer software, which should include Windows, Word, Excel.
- Proficiency at Raiser's Edge database and NXT, including creating queries, exports.
- Proficiency in mail merging letters, labels, reports.
- Proven success and ability in working with a variety of people and personalities, managing diverse tasks simultaneously, organizing, strategizing and decision-making.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality.
Other:
- Occasional Irregular hours and over-time required, depending on special events, projects and travel.
- High self-confidence and poise necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office or at off-campus social/business settings.
