About Babcock National & Babcock Ranch
Babcock National Golf Club anchors the Babcock Ranch community-the nation's first solar-powered town. The 18-hole Gordon Lewis-designed course is the centerpiece of a bundled-golf community where membership is tied to homeownership, creating a vibrant and highly active golf culture. Club governance is through a homeowner-elected HOA Board and volunteer committees, with daily operations managed by Signature One, a hospitality-driven management company.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to support the Head Golf Professional in delivering exceptional daily golf operations, instruction, member service, and tournament programming. This role provides a unique career-development path, offering hands-on experience in:
- Merchandising & Retail Operations
- Tournament Administration & Golf Genius Management
- Fleet Management
- Financial Acumen (budgeting, reporting, forecasting)
- Staff Training & Supervision
The successful candidate will gain exposure to every aspect of golf operations, preparing them for advancement within the PGA Professional career track.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Service
- Deliver warm, professional service to members and guests on the course, range, and shop.
- Assist with tee times, pace-of-play monitoring, and daily course setup.
- Provide support for golf shop operations, including point-of-sale, merchandise sales, and inventory.
Instruction & Player Development
- Support the Head Professional in conducting private lessons, clinics, and junior golf programs.
- Continue personal development in teaching methodology and player engagement.
Tournaments & Member Programs
- Assist in the planning and execution of club events, leagues (MGA, WGA, couples), and tournaments.
- Operate tournament software (Golf Genius) for scoring, communications, and reporting.
Operational Growth Areas
- Participate in retail buying, vendor relationships, and merchandising displays.
- Assist in golf car fleet management and outside service operations.
- Gain exposure to financial reporting and budgeting under the supervision of the Head Professional.
- Support scheduling, training, and supervision of outside services staff.
Professional Development
- Actively pursue PGA Associate requirements and progression to PGA Class A Membership.
- Attend educational opportunities and represent the Club in Section events.
Qualifications
Required
- Enrollment in the PGA PGM Associate Program or active pursuit of PGA membership.
- Golf operations or customer service experience at a private, semi-private, or resort facility.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Preferred
- Experience in golf shop operations, tournament software, or teaching.
- Prior exposure to bundled-golf communities or HOA governance.

Compensation & Benefits
