Description

General Overview: Provides maintenance support to all departments and ensures that all machinery and equipment are in safe working order within the facility. Troubleshoots and repairs all electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and HVAC equipment. Programs and reprograms controllers. Must have a working knowledge of A/C-D/C high and low voltage electricity, plumbing, pneumatic and other skills necessary to perform the job.
Overall Responsibilities:
The list below highlights the essential job responsibilities but is not exhaustive.
• Performance maintenance and troubleshoots equipment as needed following proper LOTO procedures.
• May design and program programmable logic systems, reprogram, repair, or modify existing programmable logic systems.
• Maintains automated robot & cobot systems including interfacing with other equipment.
• Plumbs and wires various electrical fixtures, molds, and equipment
• Performs established PM procedures on machinery, equipment, and fire pumps.
• Repairs and rebuilds hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.
• Determines parts to be replaced or repaired and reorders replacement parts. Reconciles purchase card reports as needed.
• Controls inventory of support items required to maintain equipment.
• Controls spare machine parts inventory by utilizing the most cost-effective method.
• Sets up new machines as needed.
• Communicates with machine manufacturing reps as necessary when problems arise to resolve equipment malfunctions and/or complete repairs.
• Troubleshoots and repairs HVAC equipment.
• Responds to after-hour calls for building security and other emergencies.
• Notifies the supervisor of any faulty equipment or mechanical conditions.
• Maintains good housekeeping in the maintenance shop and follows 5S system.

Education/Experience:
• Technical degree
• Focus on Electrical Technology a plus
• LOTO and Arc Flash training a plus
• Previous Forklift and Fall Protection training a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. (pounds over this amount requires the use of safety mechanisms and devices available); push/pull up to 100 lbs. (pounds over this amount requires the use of safety mechanisms and devices available); frequent standing, sitting, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and walking.
